There are more Pro version of same phone and it looks suprising that the companies are launching two different phone with different specs but with same name. It also help companies to make profit and we will discuss in this blog what is Pro stragety and in the end conclusion.
* What is Pro stragety and how it works. "
It is a stragety used by Company to attract more customer and basically companies are launching two different phones with different specs but with the same name and target for different audencies also. This trend was started by Apple when they launched iPhone 6 series like iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
This trend was started by Apple and now every big company does it and it has impact like that the consumer get two choices and it is upto to him what he want. Apple launched iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus it was target for two different audencies like people who are already using iPhone 5s can upgrade to 6 or 6 Plus.
IPhone 6 was same in many areas like 5s and those who truly want some thing was attracted by 6 plus and it was in every manner it was upgrade to 5s and those who are new to Apple ecosystem prefer 6 because they were new and it was cheap than 6 Plus and those who want more update, better camera and better Software experience.
Now company also does to take pyschological advantage of you that if you are using the phone for same company and if you want to upgrade then you will go to pro because the base version doesn't bring something new and in many areas it was same to previous one so people thought that it will be good to upgrade to Pro which brings new technology and a real upgrade over it's previous one.
Let's take example of Xiaomi when Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 4 in India it come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and was priced at 10,000 Rs and at that time it was a good phone and when Redmi Note 5 come it also come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with single camera setup with new 18:9 aspect ratio and was priced at around 10,000 Rs.
Then come to Redmi Note 5 Pro it was in every manner it was upgrade like it comes with latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 and with Dual camera setup with 18:9 aspect ratio and was priced at around 14,000 Rs and Note 5 Pro was real upgrade over Note 5 in every manner.
People those who are already using Redmi Note 3 or 4 want to upgrade they would go to Redmi Note 5 pro because of newer processor and dual camera setup and great specs and don't buy Note 5 because it come with same design, single camera and same processor and Redmi Note 5 Pro was a real upgrade over Redmi Note 4.
If anyone wants to buy a new phone then they would prefer to Redmi Note 5 because it is cheap and if the customer is new then they will not prefer higher model than buying a lower one and after using the product he will analyze that the company is good then chance is that he will also upgrade to Pro.
Now days every company is doing so by launching it's base version and its Pro version. First take the example of Samsung that they launched Note 10 series in which Note 10 and Note 10+ is there Note 10 is target for new user and Note 10+ is target for existing customer or Samsung fan.
Here OnePlus also launched its Oneplus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro that OnePlus 7 is not the real upgrade over OnePlus 6T which come with same desing and some camera improvements and only upgrade is Processor and if you are using OnePlus 6T then you will upgrade to OnePlus 7 Pro which has new features and all new Pop-up camera mechanism and some great specs and if anyone is buying OnePlus phone for first time then it will go with OnePlus 7.
The conclusion is that the Company launches it's Pro version to earn more profit because it is placed high than its base version and base version is generally for people who want to spend less and those who are buying the phone first time and Pro version is for existing customer those who want to upgrade and those who want to experience new technology and great specs that you need.
